Carl Gustaf Model 1905 Swedish Mauser

Serial number 156306 on receiver wall. Top of receiver marked “Crown/ CARL GUSTAFS STADS / GEVARSFAKTORI./1905”  Chambered in 6.5mm Swedish caliber.

This rifle has been kept in perfect order with NO damage to woodwork or loss of finish, except at the muzzle where there appears to be wear from bayonet fixing. 24″ round blued barrel. All metal work is blue with the exception of the bolt, cleaning rod and magazine floor plate which were clearly finished in the “Bright”. The bolt is of the straight handle type with clear “306” and crown stamps. The steel butt plate is finished in grey with “306” and the proof crown stamped on it.

All components are marked with Swedish inspectors crown. All visible numbers match. Fixed front sight and standard military rear sights graguated up to 600 meters.  The bore is in A1 condition as is the action. There is a small section of “breakout” produced by the cutting of the trigger assembly recess in the stock which has been filled at the factory with a resin – this is the only fault on the whole weapon.

This Swedish rifle is fitted with two sling swivles and its adjustable leather sling. The bore is excellent and the action smooth in operation. It would be a pleasure to shoot this rifle and keep it in the condition it has survived.
