A very clean Used Ruger Old Army Revolver
Ruger Old Army Revolver serial number 145-84953 in its original excellent Blued Ruger Finish.
.45 caliber with its original Rosewood grips and fitted with a set of Pachmayr Presentation rubber grips. They have Pakhmayr’s lion emblem in brass effect on both sides. The molded checkering on both sides shows no signs of wear from usage.
The model which Ruger term ” the “BP7″ has the standard 7.1/2” round blued rifled barrel. The top the barrel is engraved with the usual warnings and the makers name and address.
It is an extremely solid full frame revolver fitted with adjustable target rear sights and fixed front. The frame is clearly marked beneath the cylinder on the left side with “RUGER OLD ARMY” and on the other side with the serial number.
Under the barrel is the loading lever which is released by a side mounted turn screw just forward of the cylinder. The cylinder contains six chambers and is fitted with stainless steel nipples. Externally the cylinder is marked twice as follows; “FOR BLACK POWDER ONLY”. There is the slightest scratching of the cylinder all the way round. Mechanically fine with an excellent un-corroded bore. The revolver was London proofed in 1997. Includes nipple wrench and plastic Ruger transport case.
These revolvers only really come up now second hand as supply has ceased, so here is a chance to “Fill you hand……………..” with a great example which could be easily described as “nearly new.”
