A selection of Swords presently in stock from the top down;
Top; Model 1908 British Cavalry Sword, scabbard & leather knot. A good number of Enfield proof marks and inspectors stamps, composite grip with indent for thumb. In extremely good condition with a high shine finish on the pommel and guard. £ SOLD
2nd down; 1853 Pattern British Cavalry Sword, excellent blade, no issue or proof marks, steel three bar hilt with diced leather grips – showing moderate wear. Scabbard with two suspension rings. SOLD
3rd down; British Warrant Officers Sword, 1854 Pattern. Brass hilt with “VR” cypher, fish skin grip – wire bound, leather scabbard with brass fittings, “V.R” cypher on blade and guard. Intact wirebound shagreen grip. Makers name on ricasso – “Gardiner & Co, / 120 / Queen Victoria / Street / London” Proof mark on reverse. SOLD
4th down; 1845 Pattern Infantry Officers Sword, Brass scabbard with Vitorian Cypher on guard. Intact wirebound grip with brass scabbard. Blade etched with “V.R” cypher, floral designs and makers name “Pearce & Son, Conduit Street London” Proof mark on reverse. SOLD
Bottom; British Royal Artillery Officers Sword, with steel scabbard, painted black for service. Excellent blade – clear of pitting or rust damage with royal cypher for WW1 and proof mark. By Henry Wilkinson of Pall Mall London” with Wilkinson issue number on back of blade. SOLD
