Excellent No.4 Take-down Remington Rolling Block rifles. SOLD
Created on August 18th 2020
Fine, simple, little Number 4 Remington Rolling Block “Take-downs.”
Each of these fine little rifles are in excellent condition. Both cosmetically and mechanically they are in the best order – real sleepers. The youngest they can be in years has to be around 87 years old! Hard to believe upon inspection but, Remington only produced these until 1933 by which time they had made approximately 50,000 examples. The official terminology is that they are “New Model No. 4 Rolling Blocks.” The octagonal barrel example is the earliest but I do not have the production figures to be sure of exact dates. The two round barrel examples are later pieces but quite close by serial number. They are all take-down examples.
All examples are “off-ticket” section 58ii items and do not require purchase through FAC.
