Romanian AK Straight-Pull Rifle…………..(F 1152)
Created on September 14th 2024
Romanian Civilian Version of the Famous AK 47
This rifle is about as close as you can get to owning and shooting the infamous AK-47 assault rifle in the UK on a regular FAC. Chambered in 7.62 x 39mm this is a newly built Romanian Civilian build facsimile of it more commonly encountered cousin. Imported through a German company and accepted by UK law as permissable for Target shooting here and thus is CIP proofed. The main and fundementally important difference is that this riufle was never a semi-automatic weapon. It was built as a single shot, straight-pull, rotating bolt weapon. So in effect it just has a different way of recharging the weapon as opposed to a bolt action; It has to be cocked and recharged between each shot by working the side cocking lever.
It has the benifit of a hold open safety to aid clearing and “showing open” on the range. The previous owner has also replaced the very cheap looking furniture for the more standard AK looking Russian equivalent. All the normal components are pressed steel and phosphate finished. Red plastic pistol grip and detachable magazine. Varnish finished, laminated wood-work.
Regular open sights with adjustable guarded front sight. Cleaning rod under barrel. Regular Russian style side mount for telescopic sights on LHS of action. Sprung cover in steel butt-plate which contains full cleaning kit issed with rifle. The weapon is marked on the RHS of the action as follows;” Made by C.N. Romarm S.A. / CUGIR / in Romania / Imported by WaffSchu DE 2011″ The LHS side shows “WS-542-11 RO” on the top half of the action and “WS1- 63 HO / Cal. 7,62 x 39mm”.
Little signs of use although pre-owned. Bore in very good condition. Fitted with a canvas strap. Original woodwork and fittings included in sale. Ready for range use – an unusual thing.
