Winchester 1894 LeverAction Rifle in .32-40
s/n 11310 indicates this rifle was produced in the first year of manufacture.
26″ round blued barrel. Full length tubular magazine. The caliber marked on top of the barrel near the breech. Standard Winchester rear sights and fixed front. Makers address on top of barrel. Barrel showing thining and some small amount of corrosion turning from light grey to deep plumb browns – an overall nice patina. The woodwork consisting of American Walnut forend with blued steel cap and stock with crescent steel buttplate. The woodwork overall shows signs of the rifles age but is not split of badly chipped. A generally pleasing patina has built up all over.
Blued bolt and locking lug with little of the original finish remaining on the action which is plumb brown to silver grey all over. Model designation “MODEL 1894 / WINCHESTER / PAT.AUG.21.1894” on upper tang.
Action fully operational. Bore good to strong for a rifle of this age.
