U.S. Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 Service Rifle
s/n 419514 for 1910-1911. .30-06 caliber
24″ Round barrel, marked behind the front sight “SA/flaming bomb/8/28” which means this weapon was arsenal re-barrelled in August 1928. The rifle is parkerized on metal parts and swept back bolt.
Full straight pistol grip American Walnut stock. The left side of the wrist is stamped with the “SA GAW” inspectors cartouche and the ordinance wheel.
Standard tangent rear sights. The action is excellent as is the bore. This would make an excellent range rifle for those classic competitions and a worthy addition to any serious collection.
