US. WW2 Garand Type Rifle as a Straight Pull

This is it ! Your one chance so far.  First one I’ve been prepared to handle since they appeared.  Built by Breda of Italy as a contract for the Danish Government in semi-auto and completed with parts freshly made with no gas ports or pistons etc to enable semi-auto mode.  Section One “Straight-Pull” (Rotating bolt) in .30-06.  The rifle takes the classic 8 round Garand clips and will even “ping” the clip out when expended.  This is as close as we get in the UK without going full section 5.

Overall length 43.1/2″ long.  Round Barrel 24″.  Pull 13″  Now in a period stock with a replacement barrel shroud with bayonet lug.  Parkerised finish and leather period adjustable sling.  The LHS of the action is marked; “BREDA / MECCANICA ROMANA / ITALIA”  Proving its Italian origination.  On the RHS it is also marked; “NJ Target emblem Nuova Jager / Italia.”  On the top rear of the action it is beautifully marked; “Danish Crown / FKF /Nr/ BMR 2468” – Tha Danish Connection.

When the bolt is sent forward into position (and you have regained the feeling in your thumb!) smaller, finer markings read; “D28287 195A / A-9”  The rear adjustable aperture sight has a windage adjustment wheel on the RHS and the elevation on the Left.  Everything is suberbly clean and mechanically fine.  Bore very clean with minimal use.  The stock shows all the signs of a life spent in the military but is absolutly fine.  Original freshly manufactured stock is available as is muzzle cover.

Original pressed steel butt-plate with trap for cleaning equipment – a/f.   Front sling mount finish worn away.  Original newly manufacture trigger guard replaced with easy to disemble period piece.  Marked “C-46025-1 – SA.”  Front LHS of barrel marked “3006”  CIP proofed.

Stock No’ F 1148 – Section One FAC Required

£ 2550.  SOLD
