A Selection of WW2 2nd & 3rd Pattern Fairbairn-sykes fighting knives
Scabbards are shown in wrong order – see write-ups, black scabbard has been thrown out.
1. Third patt’ F/S Knife. 6.3/4″ DE Blade. Loss of finish on cast handle. Oval cross guard marked “SHEFFIELD/ENGLAND” Brass pommel nut. £195.00 Reduced to £120 – SOLD
2. Third patt F/S Knife. 6.3/4″ DE Blade. Loss of finish to blade. Steel mold number “4” on handle. marked with broard arrow on oval cross guard, brass pommel nut. SOLD
3. Good Third patt’ F/S Knife. 6.3/4″ DE Blade. Loss of finish to handle. Handle marked with number “4” steel mold marking. Oval cross guard marked “ENGLAND” Blade with keen edge and superb quality blue very little loss. Correct leather scabbard marked “ENGLAND” elastic AF. Blackened brass chape. SOLD
4. Very good Third patt’ F/S Knife. 6.3/4″ DE blade. Excellent quality blued finish to blade, edges very sharp. Slight loss of finish to point of blade. Brass pommel nut, handle marked with steel mold number “3”. Oval cross guard marked “ENGLAND” Correct leather scabbard stamped “ENGLAND” with brass chape. SOLD.
5. Good Second patt’ F/S Knife. Blued 6.3/8″ DE Blade. Brass knurled grip. Oval cross guard marked “Broard arrowB2” and “ENGLAND”. SOLD
6. Very Good Second patt’ F/S Knife. Blued 6.1/2″ DE Blade. Good quality blue with name of owner etched in scroll with service number; “L/CPL COULTER. H.A./L 13299” Oval cross guard. Darkened solid brass handle – knurled. Good leather scabbard marked “ENGLAND”, elastic AF. Brass chape. SOLD
