Created on June 15th 2010
A Nice Honest .32 Webley Rimfire Revolver
A classically designed English Revolver. Solid frame, conventional English style with finely chequered two-piece Walnut grips showing little ware. Six shot cylinder stamped with only visible number “209” on face of the cylinder and Birmingham proofs. Double action.
Blued finish strongest on the round 4.1/2″ barrel. Strong multi-groove rifling, some pitting. Compound unloading lever on right side – fully functioning. Sprung loading gate at rear of cylinder also on the right. Hammer, cylinder pin and trigger in the bright, hammer spur with good knurling for thumb. Fixed Open sights on top strap and fixed blued blade sight at front. Birmingham proofs under barrel.
“”WEBLEY’S PATENT” clearly stamped on left side of frame above center pin release catch.
Not a common revolver as the Rimfire period didn’t last that long. A good strong revolver of its time that has lasted well and shows ware consumate with its age.
£845.
