Excellent Uberti Winchester High Wall Rifle

Superb Modern built reproduction of the Famous Buffalo gun by Winchester.  This High Wall has the special Octagonal barrel and is fitted with the tang mounted Creedmore type long distance sight. Chambered in the easily accessible .45-70 cartridge.  A single shot falling block rifle with a superb heavy octagonal barrel which adds a solid stability to the shooting experience.  Two piece Walnut stock with crescent moon steel butt-plate and Schnabel fore end.  The steel butt plate has a sliding brass trap for storage of a brass cleaning (A/F).  The rifle is fitted with extras that would have to be added to the basic order for the benefit of the new owner.

This faithful reproduction is 47.1/2″ long in overall length.  The heavy octagonal barrel is a full 30″ long.  The trigger Pull  is 14.1/4″ to centre.  The curved underlever beneath the action drops the block for re-loading.  The hammer is then thumbed back and the weapon is ready to fire.  Highly attractive fully case hardened action, with single stage trigger.

Additional to the standard, the rifle has been fitted with a front tunnel sight with the facility for interchangeable inserts and the Long distance Creedmore tang mounted aperture sight.  The top flat of the barrel is marked with the makers name, and calibre; “A.UBERTI-ITALY   /   .45-70”  The lower action tang has the serial number “167” stamped into it. Good clean barrel with an uninterrupted RH twist bore.  Blanked rear sight slot on top of barrel.  Mechanically fine.  Condition is almost immaculate, appears unused.
